Chaseholm Farm is a small team family dairy in its third generation. They've got deep roots dairy farming in the Hudson Valley and are trying out some new tricks to keep up with changing climate, ecosystem, and food system needs. The farm is currently run by Sarah Chase with the support of her wife Jordan. This is Sarah’s eighth season managing the farm and her fourth year as a certified 100% grass-fed and organic dairy. Sarah's cows are the milk production behind her brother Rory’s line of Chaseholm Farm Creamery cheeses sold from the farm and farmers markets. They also make yogurt and raise 100% grass-fed beef and pastured pork. You can read more about the farm at www.chaseholmfarm.com/. They are passionate about the potential of responsively managed grazing animals to enhance the health of our soils, farm systems, human food supply and community relationships.

Chaseholm started making yogurt in 2017 with the help of Hawthorne Valley Farm. They bring their milk there to have it processed into their own unique yogurt recipe. Their yogurt is made with whole milk and you'll see a distinctive layer of cream that rises to the top of each container. Depending on the time of year and how much growing grass the cows are eating the cream might be a golden yellow, showing you its nutritional benefits right on top. Try their yogurt for breakfast or maybe desert or stirred into soups, dollopped onto curries or stews.
Full Share:
